Self Employment

Self-employment or running your own small business can prove an attractive alternative to being employed by an organisation and generally, there is a very supportive climate for small/starting businesses in The Netherlands.

Several organisations, including the Kamer van Koophandel (Dutch Chamber of Commerce) and the Belastingsdienst (Tax Office) can provide free or low cost start up advice, and have offices all over the Netherlands. You should contact both organisations direct to arrange an appointment with an adviser.. All advisers generally speak English and Dutch.
